You can contact Discount Websites either by phone or email at any time. You will receive a quick and personal response because this is not an automated site designed to prevent human contact. We believe human-to-human is the only way to work in order to design and implement a successful site. Our aim is to be the least expensive website provider and we'd love you to put us to the test.
If you're inexperienced with regard to Internet trading then we're the people for you. It doesn't matter where you're located - we have a very simple method of ensuring that you get what you want.
We know how important it is to you to maximise your return on investment. We will take the time to answer your questions and advise you on the direction we think you should take in order to achieve this.
When it comes to Internet marketing we know what we're doing and we're keen to share our knowledge with you. If you wish we will personally manage each project, alternatively, we will follow strict instructions. The choice is of course yours.

For £49-00 we will design an entry-level one-page site (the same quality as this one using colours and images of your choice). Additional pages can be added for just £20 each. Alternatively you can jump straight in for the five-page offer at £99-00. The site doesn't have to be similar in style to this one. We have a blank canvas and you can provide as much or as little input as you like. We can provide you with a formal site, a fun site, a moody looking site – or anything else you may want.
The Procedure is very simple. Call us or email us to get the ball rolling. We will have a draft page ready for you within 48 hours. (A draft page is a sample page). We can view this together and decide what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of. You can ask me to change colours, or you can suggest different image styles, and before you know it we will have a "Look" for the site that can be continued from page to page. If you don't love our design we won't charge you anything!! We can even help you get it to the first page of the search engines if you want us to. The price for this will vary according to the complexity of the project.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Why do you use a one page site?
We would't normally, but we wanted to show you how much information can be fitted to a single page site. It's an inexpensive way for you to get started, at just £49-00. The best way to demonstrate the "Basic" product range is to keep it simple. It must work, or you wouldn't be reading it now!
Can I add extra pages?
Yes. We charge just £20 a page. We also do specials, for instance a five page site is priced at only £99-00.
How long does it take to create a site?
If you have a clear idea about what you want, then it can be done and uploaded to the Internet within 48 hours. If you need help planning it or producing content then it can take a bit longer.
Why are you so inexpensive?
We charge a fair price. We have a small business with very few overheads and are happy to work at our current rate. Our low rates have been known to put people off, but it shouldn't because you see the design before you pay. This means zero risk and you the customer have everything to gain and nothing to lose. If the project you're planning cannot be done for the prices stated then we will let you know beforehand. There will never be any nasty financial surprises.
Can you supply references or work samples?
Of course, once we know what kind of site you need we will send something appropriate.
I have never had a site, where do I start?
A chat is a good place to start. We know what to ask, so don't worry if technically you don't "Talk the Talk". We are more interested in finding out what you are hoping to achieve by having a site. Some people want sites to make money, others just feel embarrassed about telling clients they don't have a site, some want a site just for employees to use and so on. Once we know what you do and why you are considering a site, we can advise on what we would do if we were in your shoes. We are very honest in this respect.
I keep meaning to write the content but I’am too busy, can you help?
Very much so. If you are happy to write the text for the site, we will advise on alterations for free, should we feel that they are necessary. If you want us to write the content from scratch we will, but I'm afraid we have to charge for it – but we're not expensive. If we write the content all we ask is that you make yourself available for regular discussions. We may need to ask numerous questions in order to totally understand what message you're trying to put across. Content authoring costs £30 an hour. On a small site (5 or less pages) an hour is often enough.
Do you Optimise websites to get a page 1 ranking?
Yes it's our forte. This is a separate service with a separate charge. As with the website provision, we work less expensively than anyone we – and probably you - know.
Can you come out to meet us?
We have no problem with visiting. If you are local to us we will visit without charging. If you are further afield, we have to charge but we are still likely to be less expensive than firms that are more local to you. However, the truth is that unless we're taking on the photographic work, a visit is almost always unnecessary. We will create pages and load them onto the Internet for you to see. You can then explain to us what you like and what you don't like just as easily as if we were sat in front of you. Distance therefore is never a problem.
Can you add a shop to my website?
Of course. There are two kinds of shop available. One is much easier for you to maintain yourself but costs more to start with. Typical shop costs are between £300-£700.
Are there any additional charges I need to know aout?
It depends on whether or not you already have a domain name (Internet name) and web space. We do not profiteer from this so please don't go out and buy a name before coming to us if you can help it as it complicates matters a tad. We charge £6 for a .co.uk name and £30 per year for web space. This is very inexpensive and it is something you would require wherever you went for a site.
Can you talk me through the process of getting online?
Of course. Here goes:
Call us. An email is fine but a phone call is better. We will discuss your business, what it does, why a site would help and roughly what pages would be required. If neither of us have any idea, we will go online and check competitors sites, making notes of what categories they have used, and more importantly where we think their sites fail.
We will ask you if you have a company logo that you wish to retain. Some people want to keep their old logo's and company colours, others prefer a fresh start. We then make a draft page. The first thing to get right is the cosmetics. Before we even consider content we need to plan a design that you really like the look of. This will be a rough copy, but it will be close to how we imagine the page to eventually look. We will direct you to a temporary web address so that we can discuss what parts of our draft design you like and what parts you don't. We will re-design the page as many times as necessary to ensure you're happy with the appearance. (We're not easily offended! It's natural that design tastes may differ). Once you're happy we can move onto the next stage.
This is to add the other pages. (Unless you have opted for a one page site). We will forward a plan, clearly stating what pages we feel we need and what they should contain. Once approved, we will create the pages and upload them. We now have a working site that contains everything apart from the text. It is only at this point that we will raise our invoice. We invoice now because it may take you a long time to either send us the content or help us to create it – but that won't matter because we will have been paid. We will never keep customers waiting.
Page by page we will add content and images. After each page we will request that you view and approve the changes until the final page has been completed.
After the last page is complete and approved, we like to call clients and view the site with you, reading through each page together. We always suggest that our clients view the page as if they were a potential customer. Have we stressed the benefits enough? Is the site easy to navigate? At the point we both agree the site is in good shape it will be uploaded to your permanent space. You will now be online.
The Final Question - Do we now promote the site?
Site promotion is called "Optimisation" and it involves a number of activities that are aimed at making your site more visible. Everyone with a website wants to be on page 1, so the competition can be intense, but this is where we believe our combined expertise will really give you an advantage over your competitors. Optimisation is what we specialise in and we're prepared to offer guarantees. Read about promoting your site here...
